About Venice Nutrition PhyED

PhyEd is not your average fitness center or gym. It is a health club unlike any other in the Northland.

First, PhyEd is fully staffed with eight highly qualified, knowledgeable personnel. Everyone at PhyEd has a passion for health and fitness. We provide personal training, orientation, and meal plan assistance. See the accompanying staff bios.

Second, the facility is second-to-none. It is 7,700 square feet and features oak wood lockers, private showers, steam rooms, group fitness studio, Kinesis studio, social area with fireplace and smoothie bar, tanning bed, high performance air exchanger, filtered water, and the latest equipment.

What is Kinesis? It is highly specialized equipment that combines strength training and cardio into one work out. The movements are unlimited and an instructor is present during classes of no more than four people. As for the rest of the equipment, everything was hand selected for its special features. For example, PhyEd is the only Official Hammer Strength Training Center in Duluth and Superior. At PhyEd, our members can train on the same type of equipment used by the FBI, Navy SEALS, and professional athletic teams.

Continuing on with equipment, PhyEd is also the only club in Duluth and Superior to have FreeMotion® equipment, which allows users to define their movements without using free weights. It is unique and special. PhyEd has the absolute best Life Fitness treadmills, Precor ellipticals and the new AMTs, Technogym recumbent bikes, and Expresso® upright bikes. The cardio equipment is all iPod compatible and feature personal high definition TVs. The Expresso® bikes are virtual reality bikes that are interactive with the user. Once again, PhyEd is the only club to offer these bikes.

Third, PhyEd is a Body Training Systems® authorized elite facility for our group fitness classes. Body Training Systems develops professionally choreographed classes including Group Power barbell training and Step, among others. PhyEd also offers indoor cycling classes on the latest LeMond RevMaster® bikes, high octane Yoga, and boot camp.

PhyEd is designed for experienced fitness enthusiasts as well as beginners. The atmosphere is warm and non-intimidating, our personnel are able to help those who have never been to a health club, and the equipment accommodates even the most experienced weight lifting people.

The club was my dream. I have had a passion for health, fitness, and nutrition for 10 years. I compete in figure competitions and have earned first place awards. I am a personal trainer, certified Group Power instructor and nutrition coach.

I have grown to realize over the past couple years that health and fitness is an aspect of my life that ultimately makes me feel more accomplished than anything else. My passion for health and fitness came at a very young age when my parents encouraged me to be active and were active with me. Whether it was my father kicking the soccer ball around or my mother swimming with us at the lake we always had fun! I believe that having fun and two amazing role models is what led me to live a healthy and active life.

I believe that with the right guidance, motivation, and mind set you can achieve optimal health. Whether I am working one on one with a client or instructing a group exercise class, I try to make my clients laugh and have a good time. I strive to be their role model so that they can enjoy life more and have a positive attitude about exercise and health!
